Co-Curricular Activities

Apart from developing the intellectual capabilities of our students, Rosehill also provides opportunities for the development of their talents, interests, social skills, and environmental and social awareness; and grow in values like love for culture, reading, and the home, through different club activities.

 

PRIMARY CLUBS

Little Bakers Club - venue for students to learn how to measure ingredients correctly, be creative in exploring and designing the food/dessert to make it more appealing and be business-minded in their own little ways at their young age.

Computer Club - venue for students to identify the basic components of a computer, enhance their keyboarding skills and use the different G-Suite tools and extensions.

Little Chefs Club - venue for students to explore and discover the use of different ingredients to make different kinds of dishes.

Dancing Rosies - venue for students to know the basics and benefits of dance, execute warm-up routines and steps taught and explore and execute 2 dance genres โ€“ hip hop and classical ballet.

Happy Art Club - venue for students to express themselves better and creatively by doing simple and fun art activities and foster love and appreciation for art.

 

INTERMEDIATE CLUBS

Creative HeARTs Club - venue for students to express themselves better and creatively by doing simple and fun art activities and foster love and appreciation for art.

Computer Club - venue for students to identify the basic components of a computer and enhance their keyboarding skills, use technology to enhance their learning, increase productivity, and promote creativity and utilize the different G-Suite tools and extensions.

OPM Club (Orihinal na Pilipinong Manunulat) - para maipakita ng mga mag-aaral ang kanilang saloobin, damdamin, at ideya sa pamamagitan ng pagsulat ng anumang panitikan at makabuo ng ibat-ibang akdang tuluyan o panulaan bilang anyo ng panitikan.

Junior Explorer's Club - venue for students to discover the history, culture and beautiful places of the Philippines and appreciate their Filipino values, identity and heritage.

Bullet Journal Senpais - venue for students to have a creative outlet to jot down ideas, thoughts and feelings, develop their artistic skills and learn different techniques on using a notebook or digital notepad to organize their tasks.

 
HIGH SCHOOL CLUBS

Montage - The school newspaper that releases articles and publications on events in school and in the country for students to remain informed and aware of these events.

Montage: Broadcasting - Students trained and taught various broadcasting techniques and styles with additional training from the heads/moderators.

Art Club - Traditional art, digital art, and other art styles of the Philippines and other countries are explored and practiced through discussions, lectures, and projects.

Book Club - Books of different topics, issues, and lessons given, read, and tackled. Book reports, discussions, and presentations may also be administered to further deepen studentsโ€™ understanding and comprehension of the books assigned.

Dance Club - Various dance styles such as Urban, Hiphop, and Femme are learned and explored through choreographies and informal discussions. Students are assigned to teach choreographies to further elevate their dance knowledge and techniques.

Baking Club - Recipes from the Philippines and all over the world are given to students for them to follow and cook during club sessions.

Debate Club - Local and international issues and topics are studied and debated on with guidance and mentorship from the club head and teachers for them to develop a social consciousness and sense of initiative and awareness on these pressing issues.

Foreign Cultures Club - Elements from local and international cultures such as language, writing, traditions, and current trends are tackled and discussed for students to develop a deeper appreciation and love for their own culture and those of other countries as well.

Fitness Club - Different workouts and exercises are given for all the members to do together. Music is played during workouts, and videos from exercise influencers and Youtubers are shown. Exercise tips and advice is also discussed for students to stay fit and healthy at home.

Movie Review Club - Movies and documentaries on history, social issues, and other important topics will be watched together by the members. Activities such as discussions, essays, reviews, and others may be given to further deepen the membersโ€™ understanding of the assigned film.

 

AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS

Music - learn basic Violin, Piano, Pre-advanced Guitar with our Grade School Music Teacher, Mrs. Fe Tabuena. It's scheduled from Tues-Fri 3-6PM. Schedule is by appointment. Program fee is P2,000/month for once a week session and P4,000/month for twice a week sessions.

Computer Coding - learn basic computer coding using Scratch programming language from Ms. Paula Tanada. It's scheduled every Saturday 9:30-11:30AM from Sept. 26-Oct 24, 2020. Program fee is P4,750 for all sessions. As of now, this program is no longer accepting enrollees. Another module will be offered after the first module finishes.

"Ispeak" Public Speaking - scheduled on the following days: Tues 4-6PM (Grades 1-4), Thurs 4-6PM (Grades 5-8), and Sat 9:30-11:30AM (Grades 9-12). Sessions are facilitated by Distinguish Toastmaster, Ms. Val Bringas. She'll train the students to overcome fear of public speaking, organizing their speech, communicating assertively and many more. Program fee is P2,000/month.

Basic and Advanced Gymnastics - facilitated by Coach Rayah Guiyab, gymnastics training takes place every Mon and Wed 4-5pm and Sat 10-11am. Program fee is P2,500/month.

Taekwondo - taught by 2nd Degree Blackbelt and member of Philippine Taekwondo Association Coach Robert Patrick G. Cruz. Training happens every Tues, Thurs, and Sat 4-5:30pm. This program includes belt promotions test online. Program fee is P3,000/month.
