Sports Program
Sports as a Means of Formation
At PAREF Rosehill, sports is more than physical activity—it is a vital part of a girl’s integral formation. Whether on the field, in the gym, or during Physical Education class, our students grow in discipline, teamwork, humility, and fortitude.
Athletic opportunities in both individual and team sports provide a dynamic environment for students to:
- Develop resilience and perseverance through challenge and competition
- Practice fairness, grace, and joy—whether in victory or defeat
- Grow in leadership and collaboration, guided by strong role models
- Experience the value of effort, sportsmanship, and personal bests
These experiences help girls build confidence, embrace responsibility, and carry themselves with poise—on and off the court.
Physical Education (PE) Classes
Our PE curriculum is designed to:
- Instill lifelong habits of fitness and well-being
- Cultivate motor skills, coordination, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Emphasize teamwork, discipline, and respect for others
- Reinforce the virtues being taught in the classroom and at home
Sports Clubs
Rosehill offers a range of after-school Sports Clubs, open to students of all levels:
- Football
- Softball
- Volleyball
- Dance
- Gymnastics
- Taekwondo
- Pickleball
Clubs allow girls to discover their interests, develop skills at their own pace, and experience the camaraderie of shared goals—all within a fun and values-centered setting.
Varsity Teams
Varsity athletes in Rosehill undergo more intensive training and represent the school in interschool leagues and tournaments. Our teams train with purpose—not only to compete, but to grow in character and school spirit. Each game becomes an opportunity to:
- Apply learned virtues under pressure
- Build confidence through preparation and grit
- Represent Rosehill with dignity, humility, and excellence
Parent Involvement: A Home-School Partnership
In line with the PAREF philosophy, we believe that parents are the primary educators, and their role in sports formation is essential. We partner with families to ensure that the values cultivated through sports are reinforced at home.
Parents are encouraged to:
- Model good sportsmanship and joyful support during games
- Uphold a spirit of unity and grace, especially in competitive moments
- Volunteer for team or club activities, offering presence and support
- Trust the school’s formative approach and communicate with openness
- Celebrate effort and progress—not just results
All sports programs follow a Parental Code of Conduct that fosters mutual respect and positive collaboration between parents, coaches, and students.
“How great is the value of sports when it fosters high human and spiritual ideals!”
— St. John Paul II
At Rosehill, the playing field becomes a place where hearts are shaped, character is forged, and excellence blossoms—together with home and school, in joyful pursuit of virtue.
